NHRA 75th Anniversary and Top 75 Drivers books celebrate sport's history

To help celebrate NHRA's 75th Anniversary, NHRA Publications has created two handsome books that tell the stories of NHRA's acceleration into motorsports glory and salute the heroes who helped drive the sport forward.

To help commemorate NHRA's 75th Anniversary celebration in 2026, NHRA Publications has created two handsome books that tell the stories of NHRA's acceleration into motorsports glory and salute the heroes who helped drive the sport forward.

NHRA 75: A Legacy of Speed is a handsome, 208-page coffee-table-style book that chronicles the sport's meteoric rise from humble beginnings to superstar stature. It's packed with historic photos, some of which have never been published, and presents the history of the NHRA in chronological fashion, allowing fans to relive the magic. Sprinkled through the book are features on legends of the quarter-mile, memorable moments, and technological breakthroughs that powered the sport.

NHRA’s Top 75 Drivers, a keystone program of NHRA’s 75th Anniversary celebration, salutes the Top 75 Drivers in NHRA history, as voted by an elite panel of drag racing experts, and now you can own a keepsake book celebrating the greatest heroes of NHRA Drag Racing.

Created by the staff of NHRA National Dragster magazine, this 160-page book is packed with historic photos and detailed biographies of some of the sport's greatest drivers, including legends like Don Garlits, Don Prudhomme, Shirley Muldowney, Kenny Bernstein, Bob Glidden, Warren Johnson, Terry Vance, and many more, and current drivers like Tony Schumacher, Antron Brown, Matt Hagan, Ron Capps, Greg Anderson, Erica Enders, Andrew Hines, and Matt Smith, who were added to the Top Drivers list this year, are likewise celebrated throughout this book.
