NHRA Factory Stock Showdown returns for 2016

The extreme racing of the NHRA Factory Stock Showdown is returning for the 2016 season with four appearances on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series including a new stop at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

This season will mark the fifth year of the program that was designed to showcase the Chevrolet COPO Camaro, Ford Mustang Cobra Jet and the Dodge Mopar Challenger Drag Pak.

The Factory Stock Showdown will kick off at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Fla., March 17-20, then head north for the NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J., June 9-12. The third race will take place at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, June 23-26, with the final event happening at the birthplace of the program, the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, Labor Day weekend, August 31 through September 21.
