2016 Stock and Top Dragster champ Jeff Strickland
Jeff Strickland pulled off an extremely rare feat when he won national championships in both Stock and Top Dragster. Driving a COPO Camaro for the Gray Motorsports team, Strickland won the title at the final event of the season when he defeated his closest rival, Brad Burton, in Pomona. Strickland won national events in Gainesville and Bristol last season to go along with four semifinal finishes.
Strickland took the early lead in Top Dragster presented by Racing RVs by winning in his first two starts, and he never looked back. Strickland finished the year with a title-clinching victory at the final Division 7 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in Las Vegas. In addition to his three wins, Strickland drove his Sticker Punk dragster to two runner-ups.
