NHRA - National Hot Rod Association

Antron Brown, Ron Capps, Jason Line and Jerry Savoie were the headliners crowned as world champions Nov. 14 during the 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Awards Ceremony at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland.

The four drivers were honored for their season-long achievements and presented with checks and trophies for winning 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world championship titles.

Other special moments of the evening included Connie Kalitta being honored as the recipient of the first ever NHRA Lifetime Achievement Award, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Cory Reed being named the winner of the Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the Future Award, and Dodge being named the NHRA Manufacturers Cup champion.
