2016 Mello Yello Pro Stock champion Jason Line
Jason Line, driver of the Summit Racing Equipment Chevy Camaro, clinched his third NHRA Mello Yello Pro Stock world championship after he raced to victory in his Summit Racing Equipment Chevy Camaro in the semifinal round of the Auto Club NHRA Finals, putting the points out of reach for second-place teammate Greg Anderson.
Line dominated the first year of the redesigned Pro Stock class, which features electronic fuel injection, 10,500 rev-limiters, shortened wheelie bars and flat hoods. He finished the season with a career-high eight wins in 14 final-round appearances. Line led the points at 22 of 24 events and notched a career-high 65 round wins over the course of the year.
