Matt Smith Racing found immediate gains at Virginia NHRA Nationals after testing

The hot weather and hot track affected the Funny Cars as much as it did their longer-wheelbase Top Fuel brethren, as none of the floppers could run in the threes, with Tommy Johnson Jr.’s 4.029 being the best of the pack.
