Nightfire Nationals returns to Firebird Raceway Aug. 7-9
Idaho’s largest motorsports event, the 55th Annual Nightfire Nationals presented by Bi-Mart at Firebird Raceway, roars back into action in western Idaho, August 7-9.
Firebird’s signature Nitro showcase will feature a lineup including AA/Funny Cars, AA/Fuel Dragsters, AA/Fuel Altereds, Pro Modifieds, Jet Cars, and more in three days and nights of non-stop action.
The Nightfire is a key points race in the 2026 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series, specifically for the headline AA/Funny Car and AA/Fuel Dragster divisions.
Defending Nightfire champions include Nathan Sitko (Funny Car), Tyler Hilton (Top Fuel), Jason Pettit (Fuel Altered) and Bret Williamson (Pro Modified).
Firebird will also play host to the track's largest sportsman racing event of the year called the Bracketeers, a tradition dating back to 1976. Racers will compete for a record-setting purse in categories including Super Pro, Pro, Heavy, Sled/Bike, Pro Comp, and Top Fire—a qualified Quick 16 shootout for both full-bodied and open-wheel entries.
