The August 2026 issue of NHRA National Dragster, packed with racing action from five different NHRA series and features, is now online in digital format and in the mail in its traditional print format to NHRA Members around the world.

Highlighted by coverage of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series events in Sonoma and Seattle, the issue also includes reporting of the GETTRX NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout from Sonoma and Mission Challenges from both events of the mini Western Swing.

One of the highlights of the Seattle event was the double-up victories by Ty Gaynor in Super Stock and Top Dragster, and columnist Luke Bogacki, a three-time world champ, discusses the challenges associated with the feat and also chronicles the history of NHRA doubles in his "Science of Winning" column. It’s also probably not a surprise then that the ND staff selected Gaynor as July’s Peak Sportsman racer of the Month.

Racing action is thick throughout the issue with NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series coverage from Divisions 1, 5, 6, and 7 as well as the NHRA Summit Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals and a triple-header of NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series action.

The Dragster staff also chronicles its at-track testing of the insanely fast Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak, a 5,000-pound SUV that covers the quarter-mile with 11-second elapsed times.

In other columns, ND Editor Phil Burgess’ Launch Pad recaps a wonderful NHRA 75th Anniversary season to date in his “Launch Pad” column, Joe Castello turns a touristy eye on Seattle, and Brenda Grubbs focuses the spotlight on Sportsman racer Dan Foley in her “Travels With Brenda” column.
