Pine Valley Raceway has officially rejoined the NHRA Member Track Network as part of NHRA’s South Central Division, bringing East Texas’ historic quarter-mile track back under the NHRA banner for 2026 and beyond.

Located in the heart of Lufkin, Texas, Pine Valley Raceway has long been known for its family-friendly atmosphere, truck shows, and exciting grassroots racing scene. Now, under the ownership of Bailey & Sons Racing and the management of Steve Quien, the facility is ready to usher in a new era of growth and community connection.

“Bringing Pine Valley back with NHRA just makes sense,” said Steve Quien, track manager for Bailey & Sons Racing. “The NHRA name carries stability, national recognition, and proven programs that directly support our racers from the Summit Racing E.T. Series to Street Legal and licensing programs that get new racers safely on track. We’re excited to give East Texas racers a home where they can grow, compete, and be part of something bigger.”

The partnership ensures racers at Pine Valley Raceway will have access to NHRA’s expansive resources, insurance programs, safety protocols, and the opportunity to compete in NHRA’s long-standing NHRA Summit Racing Series, culminating in the annual NHRA Summit Series World Championship in Las Vegas.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Pine Valley Raceway back into the Division 4 family,” said Jonathan Johnson, NHRA South Central Division Director. “Tracks like Pine Valley are the backbone of what makes NHRA racing special. Their commitment to safety, community, and racer development perfectly aligns with our mission to make drag racing accessible and sustainable for all.”

As part of its NHRA membership, Pine Valley will also participate in programs designed to attract and retain new racers, including NHRA’s Street Legal Initiative and Track Operator support resources, which help promote consistency and opportunity across the region.

The facility will immediately begin preparations for a full 2026 season featuring bracket racing, specialty events, and community-focused gatherings that celebrate East Texas motorsports culture.
