NHRA has a number of new job openings in the field, including Northeast Division Director and Division Services Coordinators in the North Central and South Central Divisions, based in the Indianapolis and Dallas areas, respectively, as well as Safety Safari drivers.

The NHRA Division Director position requires a strong leader with proven communication skills to lead all operational aspects of regional and divisional Sportsman racing events, including working closely with NHRA member tracks and racers to develop marketing programs that enhance the racing experience, coordination with track operators and staff, handling media for the events, negotiation of event/sponsor contracts, staff supervision, implementation of racing safety and technical standards, and office management.  

The Division Services Coordinators  [Indianapolis | Dallas] report to the respective NHRA Division Director. Primary responsibilities include assisting in processing all race licenses, assisting racers in navigating the rulebook in regard to technical questions or directing them to NHRA Tech Support, and coordinating the divisional events for all series and track operator meetings and Annual Awards Banquet, assisting in budget, planning, and other duties.`

Safety Safari drivers report to the Director of Emergency Services and will primarily be responsible for maintaining proper working condition of Safari equipment, help with track preparation for national events, and assist in the transportation of all equipment from event to event.  This position requires nationwide travel. Qualified candidates must have an active CDL driver license, class A with air-brake endorsement, and have a medical card.  Must be insurable and be registered in the FMCSA D&A Clearinghouse program.
