U.S. Nationals schedule change: Pro qualifying moved to noon Saturday

Due to the threat of impending weather Saturday, NHRA officials have announced a schedule adjustment for the Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals.Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle will now make their second qualifying passes at noon Eastern time instead of the scheduled 1 p.m.

Due to the threat of impending weather Saturday, NHRA officials have announced a schedule adjustment for the Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals.

Qualifying in the Camping World Drag Racing Series classes of Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle will now make their second qualifying passes at noon Eastern time instead of the scheduled 1 p.m. session. Top Fuel will run first, followed by Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Weather permitting, a third qualifying session is planned for 3 p.m. 

The day will begin at 8 a.m. with the continuation of eliminations in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series as well as the second qualifying session for the Constant Aviation NHRA Factory Stock Showdown class.

Following the day’s initial Camping World qualifying session, the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Modified drag racing Series entries will get their second qualifying run, followed by Top Fuel Harley and round one of Factory Stock Showdown eliminations.

Pro Mod and Top Fuel Harley are scheduled to return to the track after the final Camping World qualifying pass, along with more Sportsman racing eliminations.
