Just as sure as summer ratchets up the temperature, it also turns up the heat on the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series and NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, and you don’t have to look any further than the new issue of NHRA National Dragster, which is now online and in the mail for NHRA Members.

We’ve got complete coverage of the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals from Norwalk; the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals from Columbus; and the Dodge//SRT Mile-High NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil from Denver, plus six Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events from across the country and coverage of the NHRA Jr.Drag Racing League Western Conference Finals.

Readers will also enjoy two-time world champ Luke Bogacki’s assessment of the wisdom (or lack thereof) of engaging your opponent in a starting-line staging battle. We’ve also got an interview with soon-to-be Funny Car racer Travis Shumake, a salute to our recently departed friend Kyle Seipel, and much more.

On the tech side, racers dealing with that summer heat will surely enjoy chilling out with our in-depth look at the do’s and don’t’s of racecar cooling systems. We’ll walk you through how to pick the right kind and size of system for your machine.
