The first 2021 issue of NHRA National Dragster, celebrating the coming NHRA racing season, is online and in the mail to NHRA fans around the world.
The issue is the first of a new-look National Dragster that members enjoy, with slicker and heavier paper from the cover through its entirety as the magazine transitions to become a premium monthly publication.
The magazine will orient itself on the NHRA Sportsman and grassroots racer, a theme evident throughout the first issue. Following an extensive look at the 2021 schedule ahead across all NHRA series, we jump right into the first of a two-part feature spotlighting more than 40 Sportsman racers to keep an eye on this season. We’ve also got in-depth features on two well-established racers, Top Alcohol Dragster pilot and perennial championship contender Shawn Cowie and superstar world champion Anthony Bertozzi.
The stars of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series also have their season previews in this issue as we analyze the strengths in each class and point out the favorites and trend lines.
We’ve also got a touching story about the comeback trail for Dom Lagana, seriously injured in a highway accident last August, and his road back to a new normal.
We’ll help you prep for the new season with an extensive checklist of to-do items and show you some of the hottest new parts you may want to add to your race car.
The issue also kicks off NHRA’s 70th anniversary celebration as we take a look back at the association’s important and guiding first five years.
NHRA Members can view the magazine for free. If you’re not yet a member, you can sign up to join and get this handsome magazine delivered to your doorstep so that you, too, can immerse yourself in the world of NHRA Drag Racing from the sport’s premier insiders.
