Third JEGS SPORTSnationals event will round out revised Pacific Division schedule
NHRA officials announced the addition of a third JEGS SPORTSnationals event to take place Oct. 24-25 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as part of a doubleheader event with a Pacific Division Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series at the facility.
NHRA also announced the balance of the 2020 Pacific Division Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series schedule that also includes a doubleheader weekend at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Arizona Oct. 8-11. As part of the double event, Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car will now be included as part of the Western Regional championship. Those competitors will qualify on Friday with eliminations on Saturday.
The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event originally scheduled for April 9-11 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has been rescheduled to Oct. 22-23, preceding the SPORTSnationals.
Finally, the traditional year-end Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional event will be contested on the originally scheduled weekend and will be reduced by one day to Nov. 6-8. This event will be the final points earning event in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and will crown national, regional, and divisional champions across all categories in the series.
Further details for all events will be announced in the coming weeks.
