Roy Hill will pay homage to legendary Don Garlits on Pro Stocker in St. Louis
Roy Hill will showcase Don Garlits’ International Drag Racing Hall of Fame on the hood of his Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School Mountain Motor Pro Stock Ford Mustang, driven by Mike Bell at this weekend’s Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals presented by Pennzoil at World Wide Technology Raceway.
“I have been friends with Don for a very long time,” Hill said. “I was inducted into his Drag Racing Hall of Fame in March (2020) and it really meant a lot to me. To look around and see folks like Billy Meyer, Lee Beard, and Larry Minor that were also inducted really shows just how far we have come in the world of drag racing.”
In addition to creating awareness for International Drag Racing Hall of Fame and the upcoming 2021 March induction ceremony, Hill encourages fans to attend to visit museum, located in Ocala, Fla.
“Don has really been able to preserve an important part of drag racing history in his museum,” Hill continued. “It is amazing to see how our sport has evolved over the years and just how far we have come. If you haven’t seen this museum, I really urge you to make the trip and go!”
