During the first round of qualifying at the Magic Dry Organic Absorbent NHRA Northwest Nationals Top Fuel Harley rider Beau Layne’s motorcycle made contact with the wall and he came off the bike in the shutdown area before coming to a rest.

Layne exited the bike under his own power and was transported for further evaluation.

Layne, winner earlier this season at the Phoenix and Gainesville events, sits second in points behind leader Tii Tharpe with just this event and the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals left on the Mickey Thompson Tires NHRA Top Fuel Harley schedule.
