A little more history was made Saturday at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona as the Lane & McCue electric-powered COPO raced into the nine-second zone to the cheers of an appreciative crowd.

The Northwest duo, who posted a 10.02 Friday, accomplished their stated goal of a nine-second e.t. with a 9.837 at 134.07 mph with Patrick McCue at the wheel.
