NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series to air in 30-minute shows on FOX family of networks

NHRA and FOX have announced that all 10 races in the 2016 NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series season will air on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) and FOX Sports 2 (FS2).

FS2 will televise each half-hour program in primetime on the Thursday following each national event that features the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. In addition, FS1 will re-air the 30-minute shows within three days of the original FS2 Thursday broadcast.

Pro Mod Series races also will appear in Canada and the Caribbean through FOX Sports Racing, as well as being available through FOX Sports GO, the critically acclaimed app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on the go and now is available to 86 million subscribers.

“The 2016 NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series is going to be an exciting season, and we can’t wait for our fans to see all the action on the FOX family of networks,” said Peter Clifford, NHRA president. “With our new television partner FOX Sports, we are determined to show the excitement and energy of Pro Mod Series drivers and their unique hot rods in a way we never have before.”

Featuring the world’s fastest and most unique doorslammer race cars, the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series offers something for every kind of hot-rodding enthusiast. The growing class is highlighted by historic muscle cars, like ’67 Mustangs, ’68 Firebirds, and ’69 Camaros, as well as a variety of late-model American muscle cars. With more than 3,000 horsepower, the suspended door Pro Mod cars travel the quarter-mile in less than six seconds at speeds exceeding 250 mph.
  
The first Pro Mod telecast will be the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville (March 24, 10-10:30 p.m.) on FS2 with a rebroadcast on FS1 (March 26, 3-3:30 p.m.).

Pro Mod coverage from the world’s most prestigious drag race, the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, will be telecast on Sept. 8 from 10-10:30 p.m. on FS2 with a re-air on FS1 on Sept. 11 from 4-4:30 p.m.

The season finale NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas will air on FS2 on Nov. 3 at 10-10:30 p.m. with FS1’s rebroadcast on Sept. 4 from 4-4:30 p.m.
