With continuing precipitation in the forecast, Sunday's activities at the 10th annual NHRA New England Nationals at New England Dragway have been postponed until Monday.

The 2023 season holds an opportunity that reigning Funny Car champion Ron Capps doesn't want to miss. After going back-to-back with series titles in 2021 and 2022, Capps can go three-in-a-row and four overall if he finishes this year as the top dog. For the veteran driver, it comes down to momentum – particularly at this, the mid-point of the regular season.

Drastically different weather conditions on the second day of the NHRA New England Nationals are apt to throw crew chiefs chilly curve balls as they battle for position. Although he hasn't yet nabbed a trophy this year, Top Fuel's most winning driver is confident in his team and comfortable in the knowledge that their time will come.

The first day of qualifying at the NHRA New England Nationals was hot and muggy, creating quite the challenge for crew chiefs in the nitro categories. The threat of wet weather in the later hours bumped Friday's single session up by several hours, and Leah Pruett (Top Fuel) and Chad Green (Funny Car) had the best-prepared cars to claim respective provisional No. 1 qualifier awards.

It’s another first-time opportunity for drivers in the FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Type A Motorsports, as the category powers into New England Dragway as part of this weekend’s NHRA New England Nationals.

This weekend marks the 10-year anniversary of the first NHRA New England Nationals, and the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series returns to Epping for a celebration highlighted by thunderous Top Fuel dragsters and Funny Cars.
