Tyler Wudarczyk became the latest driver to nearly double up when he scored a win in Stock and a runner-up in Super Stock at the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals in St. Louis. Tommy Phillips also landed in the winner’s circle for the 39th time in his Hall of Fame career with a victory in Super Comp.

NHRA has announced that the Pro Stock car category, which will compete at all 24 2018 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events, will feature eight-car fields at nine selected events and 16-car fields at the other 15 events.

After several years of near misses, Canadian Jeff Veale persevered and finally won his first NHRA national event title in Top Alcohol Dragster, and Sean Bellemeur drove Tony Bartone’s car to the Top Alcohol Funny Car win at the Dodge NHRA Nationals in Reading.

David Barton joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom via Skype in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio delivered by Papa John’s to talk about his 2017 SAM Tech Factory Stock Showdown championship.

Shaun Vincent and Tyler Wudarczyk rolled into the winner’s circle Sunday evening and celebrated with their teams, as the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series concluded at the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Ill.

Gainesville Raceway won the NHRA Southeast Division Summit Racing Series Team Championship over Bristol Dragway and Atlanta Dragway, while Brendan George led the list of individual winners at the Southeast Division Summit Finals at Rockingham Dragway.

The AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals marked the midway point of the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship with a great event at Gateway Motorsports Park. NHRA’s Amanda Busick and Lewis Bloom share their five greatest moments from the race.
