Megan Meyer continued her pursuit of the Top Alcohol Dragster national championship and Ray Drew carded his first win in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class to lead the roster of champions at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk.

In a special drawing for the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship, four NHRA divisions were selected to send an extra racer to compete for the national championship at the season ending Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.
