Torrence is 30 - 23 against Kalitta in prior events. Kalitta is out of the gate first then around half track the car starts to mix up cylinders. Torrence chased him down just past half track. Torrence with a quick pedal job on the top end and holds on for the win. He will give up lane choice to Brown in the semifinal.

Stewart and Langdon have each won 1 times against the other in prior events. Langdon with the starting line advantage and never trailed in a good drag race. He will have lane choice over Salinas in the semifinal.
