The Hemi engines drag racers know and love get their name from the hemispherical (half of a sphere) combustion chamber that positions their valves 180 degrees from one another. Those monstrous valves are held in place by titanium retainers and steel keepers.

With a clutch run in the second round on Sunday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Stevie “Fast” Jackson claimed his second straight world championship in the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service.

In lieu of a traditional Awards Ceremony that was not possible this year, NHRA provided the 2020 Camping World NHRA world champion teams with celebratory champagne, championship masks, t-shirts, and all of the makings for a lockerroom-style celebration.

Capping off what was easily one of the best days of her long and successful career, Erica Enders won her fourth Camping World NHRA Pro Stock championship and then returned a few hours later to win her 29th Pro Stock event.
