NHRA - National Hot Rod Association

NHRA Ticket Exchange Policy

This policy describes how a holder of an admission ticket to an NHRA national event can, in certain circumstances, receive a credit in the event of a cancellation or postponement resulting from inclement weather (e.g., rain, hail, thunderstorm, tornado, etc.) or any other circumstance beyond the control of NHRA (collectively, “Weather or Other Circumstances”).

This policy applies only to NHRA national events.  This policy does not apply to credentials or to suite tickets.  When this policy uses the capitalized term “Nitro” below, it means the top fuel dragster and funny car racing categories collectively.

Ticket Terms and Conditions

The NHRA Ticket Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) are accessible at www.nhra.com/ticket-terms.  The Terms and this policy apply to admission tickets to NHRA national events.  As is set forth in the Terms, all ticket sales are final.  There will be no refunds under any circumstances.  Credits will be issued only as expressly set forth in this Ticket Exchange Policy.

Credit Policy

A holder of a ticket to an NHRA national event can receive a credit to his or her NHRA account in the event of Weather or Other Circumstances as follows:

TIME TRIALS (TYPICALLY SCHEDULED ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY)

  • No credit will be issued if Weather or Other Circumstances cause a cancellation or postponement of a time trial session.

QUALIFYING (TYPICALLY SCHEDULED ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY)

  • If all the Nitro qualifying rounds that are scheduled to be run on one day are cancelled or postponed due to Weather or Other Circumstances, then the ticketholder will be entitled to a credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the face value of his or her ticket.
  • No credit will be issued if one Nitro qualifying round is completed and Weather or Other Circumstances subsequently cause a cancellation or postponement of any additional Nitro qualifying rounds.

ELIMINATIONS (TYPICALLY SCHEDULED ON SUNDAY)

  • If all the Nitro elimination rounds that are scheduled to be run on one day are cancelled or postponed due to Weather or Other Circumstances, then the eliminations will be deemed a total rainout and the ticketholder will be entitled to a credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the face value of his or her ticket.
  • If one round of Nitro elimination rounds is completed and Weather or Other Circumstances subsequently causes a cancellation or postponement of additional rounds, then the ticketholder will be entitled to a credit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the face value of his or her ticket.
  • No credit will be issued if two or more Nitro elimination rounds are completed and Weather or Other Circumstances subsequently cause a cancellation or postponement of additional rounds.

How To Claim and Use Credit

Ticketholders who are entitled to a credit under this policy can claim a credit any of the following ways:

  • by bringing the physical or mobile ticket to the applicable track’s box office on the same day of the cancellation or postponement;
  • if any NHRA national event rounds are scheduled for the day after the cancellation or postponement, by bringing the physical or mobile ticket to the applicable track's box office on the day after the cancellation or postponement;
  • if the ticket was purchased through NHRA or an NHRA-operated box office, by calling NHRA at 1-800-884-6472 or emailing nto@nhra.com no later than 60 days after the day of the cancellation or postponement;
  • if the ticket was purchased from a national event track not owned or operated by NHRA, or such track’s ticket vendor (e.g., Ticketmaster), by calling or emailing the applicable track no later than 60 days after the day of the cancellation or postponement.

Ticketholders who seek to claim credit at a box office must do so during standard business hours.  No credit will be issued to any ticketholder who contacts NHRA more than 60 days after the cancellation or postponement.

A ticketholder may apply his or her credit toward either (1) another day at the applicable NHRA national event if any rounds are scheduled after the day of the cancellation or postponement, or (2) the same event during the following calendar year (if any).  Ticket availability and seat locations are subject to availability.  The ticketholder will be responsible for paying any difference in price between days or rounds at a national event (e.g., price increases from one day to another, account fees, etc.). NHRA is not responsible, or able to provide credit for, lost, stolen, or fraudulent (e.g., copied) tickets.

NHRA reserves the right to change or deviate from this policy in its sole discretion.
