Street Legal EV Summary

NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship

  • A large NHRA Wally will be awarded to the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Champion
  • National Championship Purse structure:
    • $3,000 per 8 qualifiers for travel time
    • $5,000 for the champion

Credentials

  • Valid NHRA competition license mandatory for cars running 9.99 (*6.39) or quicker. Valid state- or government-issued driver’s license beyond a learner’s-permit level is mandatory for cars running 10.00 (*6.40) or slower.

NHRA Summit Racing Series Division Finals

  • A class size NHRA Wally will be awarded to NHRA Summit Racing Series Division champion

Northeast Division 1

Member tracks are eligible to bring 5 participants. The category will NOT be running for overall team points. The winner will represent the Northeast Division in Las Vegas, if the winner is unable to attend the next competitor will have the opportunity to represent the division of if a wild card is needed.

Southeast Division 2

Member tracks are eligible to bring 3 participants. The category will be contested in a Race of Champions (ROC) style format. The category will NOT be running for overall team points. The winner will represent the Southeast Division in Las Vegas, if the winner is unable to attend the next competitor will have the opportunity to represent the division or if a wild card is needed.

North Central Division 3

Member tracks are eligible to bring 2 participants. The category will be contested in a stand-alone format with the event winner earning the opportunity to represent the North Central Division in Las Vegas. The category will NOT be running for overall team points. If the winner is unable to attend, the first alternate will be the runner-up unless the North Central Division is selected for Wild Card.

South Central Division 4

Member tracks are eligible to bring an unlimited number of participants. The category will be contested in a Race of Champion (ROC) format. They will NOT be running for overall team points. The winner will represent the South Central Division in Las Vegas. If the winner is unable to attend, the runner-up will represent and so on until it's filled. If the South Central Division is selected as the wild card the next in line will represent the division.

West Central Division 5

Member tracks are eligible to bring two participants. The category will be contested in a stand-along format with the event winner earning the opportunity to represent the West Central Division in Las Vegas. If the winner is unable to attend, the first alternate will be the runner-up or next in line unless the West Central Division is selected for the Wild Card.

Northwest Division 6

Member tracks are eligible to bring 4 participants. They will NOT be running for overall team points.

Pacific Division 7

Tracks may bring an unlimited number of EV participants. Racers in this category will not earn points toward the team title. If the winner is unable to attend the National Championship event, the first alternate will be the runner-up (or next in line based on possible Wild Card eligibility).
