Todd has never won a race when starting 11th. Todd is second off of the line but he takes the lead early and pulls away for the win. Green is a little behind off of the line but he is able to reel in Tasca and Wilkerson to take second and move on to the next round.

Tasca got the holeshot but may have lost a cylinder early and he fell behind. Wilkerson had problems late in the run and fell back. Paul Lee’s 3.829 in qualifying matched his career best. The #16 FC qualifier’s last round win at this event was 2017. Matt Hagan has advanced to Rd. 2 at 9 of his 13 starts here. The #9 FC qualifier has advanced to Rd. 2 at 6 of the 14 races here. Richards loses traction early but is able to pedal, regain traction, and drive around Lee. Bode went up in smoke at the hit and had to give up on the run.

Austin Prock averaged a .065 R/T in winning 3 rounds in Las Vegas (his best was .062). Buddy Hull is making his 4th start at a 4-wide race. Ron Capps has been to 9 Final rounds at 4-wide races. Cruz Pedregon has won 1 race when starting #10 (Norwalk, 2021). Capps is third off of the line but he goes down the roove with a good run to take the second spot. Hull goes down the groove with his second quickest pass of the weekend but it isn't enough to get in the top two in this quad.

Spencer Hyde’s 3.863 – 329.83 in qualifying were both career bests. Jack Beckman won this race from the #5 spot in 2011 (he is #5 this week). Chad Green lost in Rd. 1 here last year. Alexis DeJoria advanced to Rd. 2 here last year. DeJoria makes a good pass but may have lost power a little before the finish line. Green goes down the groove with a good pass to take the win.
