Capps with the starting line advantage, but Tasca had the lead by the time they go by the Christmas tree and never trailed from there on for the win. Tasca with a quick pop right in the lights. Capps with his quickest and fastest pass of the weekend in the losing effort.

Jack Beckman wins 78% of his Rd. 1 races when he has lane choice. Dave Richards is making his 60th start. Beckman and Richards have each won 1 times against the other in prior events. Beckman with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. Richards lost traction right at the hit and clicked it off.

Austin Prock is 18 - 3 in Rd. 1 in his FC career. Buddy Hull is #15 & the #15 FC qualifier is 3 -21 in Rd. 1 here since 2000. Prock is 1 - 0 against Hull in prior events. Prock with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. Hull with problems right hit and coasted on down the track.

Ron Capps is 418 - 213 (66%) in Rd. 1. Blake Alexander is 2 - 7 against Capps in Rd. 1 Capps is 12 - 3 against Alexander in prior events. Capps with a slight starting line advantage and the lead until right around the 1/8th mile mark. The car started mixing up cylinders, then let go with a huge explosion and fireball. The body broke in half send part of the body into the air. The car goes across the centerline and slams into the left wall right before the 1320. Capps is out of the car and talking with Fox, he is ok. Alexander is straight down the groove for the win.

After about a 50 minute delay to clean up after Capps explosion and they had to fix the wall, also. Paul Lee has qualified in the top half of the field at 14 of his last 18 races. Chad Green beat Paul Lee in Rd. 1 in Gainesville. Green is 5 - 1 against Lee in prior events. Lee with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. He was dropping cylinder early and shut it off, but held on for the win. Lee will give up lane choice to Alexander in the next round. Green was up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off.

Alexis DeJoria's last Final round was at this event last year. Cruz Pedregon's 2nd race was at this event in 1991. DeJoria is 13 - 11 against Pedregon in prior events. DeJoria goes red to give Pedregon the win. Pedregon makes his quickest and fastest pass of the weekend for the win. He will give up lane choice to Beckman in the next round.

This is the 1st time in his career that Bobby Bode has qualified in the top half of the field at back-to-back races. Matt Hagan is 6 - 8 in Rd. 1 when qualified #10. Hagan is 3 - 0 against Bode in prior events. Bode with the starting line advantage, but Hagan had the lead by half track and takes the win. He will give lane choice to Prock in the next round.

Daniel Wilkerson is 16 - 19 in Rd. 1. J.R. Todd is 9 - 9 in Rd. 1 when starting 9th. Wilkerson is 1 - 0 against Todd in prior events. Wilkerson goes red to give Todd the win. Todd's car goes silent by 330 feet, but gets the win. He will give lane choice to Tasca in the next round.
