In less than an hour, rookie Jianna Salinas experienced both the highs and lows of of racing in the Pro Stock Motorcycle class. After claiming the first round win of her career in round one, Salinas took a tumble when she lost control of her Stoffer/Underdahl Suzuki in her quarterfinal race against Hector Arana Jr. There was a collective sight of relief from the crowd at Route 66 Raceway when Salinas quickly jumped to her feet and briskly walked to the awaiting members of the NHRA Safety Safari.

In addition to Arana Jr., the winners of the round were the husband and wife team of Matt and Angie Smith and Karen Stoffer, who used a starting line holeshot to upset the Harley-Davidson of low qualifier Eddie Krawiec.
