The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum presented by Automobile Club of Southern California will host some fun and free activities for race fans during the 52nd annual O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals presented by Super Start Batteries.
In addition to the museum’s newest exhibit, Moon: Six Decades of a Hot Rodding Eye-Con, recently praised in the New York Times, there’s also the return of the crowd-pleasing Auto Club Q&A with NHRA drivers Antron Brown, Erica Enders, Morgan Lucas, and Brandon Bernstein, for which admission is free and open to everyone.
At the track, the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum will host a benefit silent auction in the Hot Rod Junction. The auction will feature an assortment of affordable, unique, and collectible items for race fans to bid on to help raise funds for the museum. Some of the featured items include an autographed Tom “the Mongoose” McEwen original painting and an autographed Don "the Shoe" Schumacher Blueprint for Success print by Honda's Chief Designer Dave Merk. Participants do not have to be present to win. The winner will be notified at the conclusion of the Winternationals. All proceeds raised will benefit the museum’s future education programs and exhibits.
Entrance to the museum is free all weekend, and a free tram runs between Auto Club Raceway at Pomona (Gate J) and the museum.
